Uniball is a popular futuristic space hockey game that continues to be one of
the longest running independent games on the Internet. UniBall has evolved from
a simple version of space hockey into a sport that is uniquely its own. The
basics remain simple and easy to learn: you maneuver, you pass and you shoot in
order to score goals. But beyond this simple design lies a surprisingly complex
game involving teamwork and individual skill that can take a lifetime to master.
On June 12th, 2009 Uniball will achieve its 10th year of continuous online play. Over the years, and over one million registered players, it has succeeded in maintaining popularity and is still completely free.
Uniball Administrators for the first time ever are launching five new maps/arenas. Along with the popular hockey, football, basketball, soccer, and miniball maps, the five new maps will be designed to challenge new players and skilled alike. Among the new maps will be flag football and dodgeball.
There has also been a new website created to mark the event. Uniball's official website has moved to http://www.UniballHQ.com where a new video was created to show off Uniball's unique play including passing, shooting, and teamwork.
