We recently had a chance to ask Matt Burroughs of Artifact Entertainment a
few questions about what has been happening as of late. We ask Matt why the
recent blackout and what to expect from AE once the the blackout is lifted.
Check it all out below...
Horizons MMORPG: For those who do not know you, can you give us
a quick run-down of who you are and what you do for AE and Horizons?
Matt Burroughs: I am the new Community Director for Horizons.
My job description changes a lot with the different development stages of the
game, which makes it a very interesting position to be in. From now until beta,
I will be releasing our game and development information to the public on a
regular basis. I've already been keeping a watch over many websites and message
boards, and it is my responsibility to make sure that the company and the game
is appropriately represented until then. I am keeping in contact and generating
buzz with many different Horizons and gaming websites, including the MMORPG
Network, and hope to see the community grow quite a bit even before release.
HM: When do you estimate testing will begin? Still on for a Q4
beta? If not. When?
MB: Internal testing is already underway. At this time, we have
no exact date set for the start of external beta. You can expect an announcement
to be made through our website somewhere around 6 to 8 weeks before testing will
actually begin. This will give us adequate time to collect applications and set
up the tools our testers will use to properly assist the development teams.
