This latest update to the game continues 2011?s focus on revamping the RvR MMORPG classic for a new generation of players, by introducing a new and improved graphical user interface (GUI), map, minimap, and quest finding tools. Christmas has also come to Realms, putting players in competition to support either Santa or the holiday grinch, in a battle to determine who?s naughty, and who?s nice.

Throughout the year, Realms? developer, NGD Studios, has put an emphasis on improving the core mechanics of the game. Updates have included new gameplay features such as the long-awaited introductions of jumping and dual wielding, as well as a completely overhauled RvR experience featuring new forts, castles, bridges, realm walls, and skills.
