In the heat of battle, there is precious little time to adjust strategies or change tactics. Versatility and the ability to adapt to quickly changing situations are critical skills for those that seek to ascend to the highest levels of warriors. This is also what makes GodsWar Online pets so useful. Like a Swiss army knife, they can change their function and skills on the fly to suit whatever their enemies may throw at them.



Mount Shifters would seem to fit the bill, as they allow players to change the appearance of their mount, but that kind of change is only skin deep. Inside, they are still the same old mount, and retain the same old skills. However, there is something powerful, that doesn't just change how a pet looks, but fundamentally changes the pet and the skills it will wield in combat.



Magic Jade to the Rescue
Magic Jades are similar to Mount Shifters in that they allow a mount to transform into something else, but Magic Jade takes that transformation a step further. Each jade corresponds to a specific pet, and when applied it will alter the target pets skills and appearance to match it. However, this complete transformation is not without some caveats. First, there is the problem of availability. As with any powerful item, getting one can often be the hardest part of the process. Currently, Magic Jades are only available from special events and the new Wonderland instance. Then there is the appearance of the pet. To get the appearance to match requires a bit more than the use of the jade; players must seek out the Pet Manager NPC in their factions main city for help in changing a pets appearance.



From the Inside Out
Because the jade changes more than just the appearance of a pet, there are some things players must consider before attempting to transform their pet. There is a wide variety of jade available, covering most of the pets available in game, so the biggest question is 'which one is right for my pet?' This all depends on the situation and the players best judgment. If there's a big battle coming up, players may opt for the always popular Rock Elf, who helps boost Max Health. A Puppet is also a good choice because it boosts Physical Defense. Looking for more firepower? Try the Flower Pixie to boost Spell Power, or a Minotaur to increase Physical Attack Power.
