Trion Worlds today released a new developer diary featuring Lead Designer Bill Fisher, Sr. System Designer Chris Junior and Technical Design Director Peter Ju in which they give a detailed preview the new PvP feature "Conquest" coming soon to the epic MMORPG, Rift.

In Conquest, players do not play as Defiant or Guardians pitted against each other. Rather, there are three different factions to choose from, which align with different philosophies on how the Ascended should handle planar incursions. Players are not committed to these factions forever, but can change once a week and explore each option Conquest has to offer.
