When you played Risk and said to yourself, "this would be an even better game if..." Well, EverNight finished the question with ...Monsters, Magic, a fantasy realm backdrop, more players, more drama, and more diplomacy. The answer is this game, and I like it. Two of the best elements are that EN and the community of players are an organic and dynamic entity and the game really becomes what you make of it, be that mostly strategy, mostly role-playing, or mostly social. I will finish with my favorite personal quote from one game I played.
"Take up your claymore, gird yourself for battle and let us vindicate ourselves before the heartless gods that wager upon our actions."

Graphics and atmosphere are simply superior and there is a good deal of variety in character construction. Movement, sound and environment interaction are also excellent. That said it needs to have more depth in the building of characters, storyline, and tasks to perform for advancement. Perhaps multi-part quests, puzzles to solve, real time political and economic events, etc. I am sure all that takes time but as it appears that many of the actual programming glitches have been solved it appears to be time to switch gears in order to maintain the game's longevity.
