| Astro Battle | Posted: 3/16/2002 7:34:22 PM the rate of fire for the weapons is a little slow but...that could be fixed but its not a normal game sicne you create the ships you fly and you dont jsut get points to fly different ship but you do get points in this game, called credits (jsut like in almost any other game) you use the credits to buy parts not different ships so it unusal and probly the main reason pll play it. sometimes it gets a little lagy but its better then any other game i've seen, graphic wise and game play. and dont let the screan shot of it fool you. the ships are alot biger and better and that screan shot is of the pre beta now i think its in something like beta2. |

| Runescape Classic | Posted: 3/23/2002 4:52:04 PM this post will probly hardly even be noticed being its the 83rd but i'll post it anyway. i gave it a 2 because... it has no plot. it no longer has mesage boards so you cant buy iteams or join clans as easly. it doesn't have any of the main chaterestics of an online knight game. you cant capture land or bloack up the doors and defend land or shoot form the top of buildings. the graphics are bad...well really they arn't bad but its not the grahics that make a game good its....well anyway the grahics dont have to be good but the has to be palyable. in other words the graphics are a waste. all you do is swing your weapon at pll or shoot green and blue globs out your side. bacily theirs no real point in the game..most pll jsut play the game because its better then their real life. theirs no real foundation of the game is played. it doesn't amke sence. its all ways the one who has the msot food or better stats taht win and you cant even use the terran to your advage. the person who made this game had no idea what they where doing. sure its adicaved at frist..when thats the best game you can find but i seen some 2-d games that are better then runescape. so bacily it has the graphics- but thats it and they arn't even very good. |

| Shadowmere | Posted: 5/2/2003 5:54:52 PM Gave it a two, for serious problems. you have to understand, the game has huge flaw, your kingdom can easly be over-runed by those kingdoms who cheat and are "fed" gold and such. so a newbie can get slaughtered with spells in the beginer range. You may think this is common for most games, but all those games have graphics. Anything that has graphics are fair, text based games are not. (first person shooter games are more fun anyway, YOU CAN GET BETTER AT THEM, and have fun loseing, unlike Shadowmere.) You will find the game to be unfair at times and get more grief from playing the game then you did when you started. It does all matter who you know, because their the ones who are going to "fed" you. solo play is flawed. if you play alone you will NOT last. The playablity, sucks. you get a turn every half hour, and guess what, you can be caught off guard by not having enough turns when your attacked to retaliate, OR REBUILD YOUR KINGDOM! you want to know whate else will ruin your game? Well, if you play the game now, theirs a thing called over-studying...you can study various things like the armor or weapons you make, your econmy, magic skills and realms of magic but it is far to easy to corrupet your kingdom is this inrevseable way! you can only attack people in your score range, and, buildings and troops and population decide that and so does STUDYING. you can make an easy mistake and study a bad realm of magic that has no beneifits to you or do the spells your learn from it and find your score go way to high to where you will have half the land everyone else has. that means you produce much less and wont have an army to match theirs and find your self not having any fun at all. The people their too, most people like the game, but hate the people...and really...shadowmere has some awful people playing it, and others do complain alot about it. avoid players who are well known. avoid leperchauns will names like "joker" or something. avoid people with orginal names, as they have be playign this game for a long time and indeed know what they are doing, attacking them is futile. Names like thx4dalandz will mean...you sould not attack them. hey, and you'll also notice if your suicessful, you get alot of land from you enemy, now think, this is going to happen to you, and when it does...you may not feel like ever playing again. but have a good additude about the game, really forget playing fairly, just ask to fed...you might as well...it'll be more fun if you never had to do anything youself and i'm not being sarcastic. you may actually find it funny when someone takes your land. thier is also a resets in this game, like i expect every other text base game to have. this means after a while..your kingdom and everyone else's will be deleted and you'll ahve to restart, so dont get too attached. |
