Each other ship is out to blast yours out of the sky, and it's survival of the fittest. The best part of this game is the ability to build your own ship, including different weapons, bridges, power plants, thrusters, and main engines. There are so many different choices, no two ships ever look alike! Or, if building your own ship isn't for you, you can always pilot one of the three pre-built ships... AstroBattle is an amazing game that is very addictive. You can play this game for FREE (I've been playing for free for 2 or 3 months now), or you can opt to pay the small fee to unlock some special features. One such member feature is a larger spending limit to build bigger and better ships. Do yourself a favor, and check out AstroBattle today! You'll be glad you did! |

| Timothy | Posted: 5/3/2003 4:44:28 PM As it stands now, it's an extremely fun and simple space combat game with a twist: you create your ships from scratch! Think StarCon Meets Erector Sets. Much like building something out of Lego's, all the different components have attachment points where you connect other components to assemble your spacecraft. Then you do some simple wiring, and off you go to the Battle Cube to fight other humans in real time! All this for free! (You only get 12,500 credits per ship however; to get more you need to sign up for $20 a year- still not bad) This game is a work in progress, although most of the basic stuff has been ironed out. The gameplay is quite stable, even with a bunch of people playing. The creator of Astro Battle is also a wonderful guy. He's always open to suggestions to make his program even more enjoyable. I definately give this game a solid 9. Sure there are better games out there, but the price and flexibility of Astro Battle, (not to mention the fun factor!) can't be beat. |

Design and build your own ship out of a selection of parts and combat it against the other users doing the same. Not only will your piloting skills be put to the test, but ship design is just as important. Free for guest users to play, only $19.95 a year for the ability to make a larger ship. Great value for the time i spend playing. |
